Will the real Christian please stand up...

Will the real Christian please stand up? What does a real Christian look like? What does a real Christian act like? Who's to make the measurement of spirituality? What can we do become more "Christiany?" Is there something we can change on the outside...NO! Is there something we CAN do...YES! We can do what the bible says to do...."Study to show thyself approved," "Meditate on His word day and night," "Go ye therefore..." "Pray always, without ceasing," "Repent or ye shall likewise perish," " Be ye holy for I am holy" and the list goes on and on. I remember when I was a young Baptist boy and I raised my hands during song. The church almost came to a dead halt. Everyone looked at me like something major just happened. I was just worshipping and praising the Lord and next thing I know, pastors, ministers, etc., was wanting me to have supper with them and to tell them about this grand experience. LOL, I simply told them that I fell in love with Jesus, that's all. You see, people are looking for experiences from the outer manifestations of the "people," when the real deal is found inside...kind like "Intel Inside." Here's the message: Stop looking for the "real thing" with physical eyes, use the spiritual eyes and look within...yourself...not others. Posted by Picasa

Yesterday, I was trying to explain to someone the difference in religon and relationship. Religon is man-made and relationship is 2 drawing near.

I wonder if Kris will do that for someone's hair?

I agree. There's a lot of religious leaders and religious people in hell. A relationship is the bonding of the tie with God that was severed when man first sinned. Man, over the years tried to attone for his sins with burnt offerings and sacrifices. Only Jesus, the only one that can mend the broken tie to God was the ultimate sacrifice, the sacrificial lamb that gave his life for the reunion. A relationship is enjoying this reunited tie with the father.

Draw me nearer....Nearer....Nearer God to thee/you....

My only hope...
My only cry....
My only everything....
Keep your steeples...and cantata's and robes...
Those things are not inherently evil but purt'near.
