Go Ye Therefore
Do you remember when Keith Green sang the song that says: "...Jesus rose from the
grave...and you...you can't even get out of bed..." Wow, that was a powerful and
sobbering message. I remember taking this song to heart and entering the mission fields.
Maybe it's just me, but today's generation seems to be lacking in outreach. I remember how
the message of: "Go ye therefore..." and "Be ye doers of the word and not just hearers only," and "Go out into the highways and byways and compel them to come in that My house may
be filled," was such a burning, overwhelming motivator to reach those who do not know
Christ as their savior. It seems that this has been supressed over the last decade. We need to
return to what God commanded the church and GO! I believe that a church will flourish under
God's blessings if we obey God's commands. Let us begin preparations for a new wave of
outreach.

I want to look for the "keith Greene's" of today, but I think I would only have to go as far as a mirror. We all are called. We all must "Go" wherever the boundaries are that God has laid out for us.
Scott/ LaChelle...I appreciate you guys so much. thank you for all that you do.

The Day will come, when one will witness to another, on the street, in the mall or in an establishment and the Spirit of the Lord will draw a crowd and they will all know His Lordship and either receive it or reject it.

That picture of Keith looks so much like when he was onstage in B'ham. I considered him and Melody as mentors and miss him very much.
Jim, Jan, Pam Simpson, and I got to visit Lindale, TX, when we were on our way to California in '84. It was a really cool experience.
You know, Scott, sometimes I hear his echo in the things you say. Of course, his echo is really His echo.
May the Lord of the harvest send out laborers into His fields. May all of us hear His call and go.
I too didn't see Keith as a bundle of talent...just the annointing God had on him and the message he was sent to give. His love for a hurting world was very evident in his ministry. I can understand the last minute chaos that occurs when a big event is ticking down to the "big" minute. Our adrenalin fluid is at maximum levels and everything has to be just right. I bet Keith was ready to beg his forgiveness shortly after the concert was over. I too bruised some feelings back in those big event days and I still wish I could find those people to appologize to them, but most are nowhere to be found...nor can I remember their names. I can only beg God's forgiveness.
We need a new Keith Greene for our new era. It is my opinion that the world is desparately in need of an annointed message and plea to return to God and be aware of the signs of His coming again.
