Best Show?

What was your favorite show in the 80's and in the 90's? I was thinking about this today and discovered that it was a hard decision to make. I loved Star Trek the Next Generation back in the 80's, and I loved the X-Files back in the 90's. Since the turn of the new century, I've become attached to shows such as Smallville, Everwood, Lost, 24, Invasion, Surfaced, and Alias. Currently, I've found some new shows that are great! Vanished, Eureka, Supernatural, Heroes,
The 9, and oh yes...my new favorite..."Jericho." Jericho is about a small town that didn't even know that a nuclear war and fall-out had occurred and suddenly finds themselves alone and cut off in a quiet world. This sounds very much like a rapture, but it's very good.

What's going on in your TV life?

80's- Amazing Stories and the NEW Twilight Zone. Both had really good stories. I guess the Zone was my favorite. One in particular involved a mission to another planet. On board this incredible ship was the Captain and a Chaplin. The majority of the time was spent with these two who really liked each other but had differing view points as to life and religion. The Captain of course was all intellectual and against anything to do with God. The Chaplin was all God. Well they got to this planet and discovered a huge collection of art, books, and other things from a civilization whose home planet had exploded and went SUPER NOVA. They had transported their entire library in hopes that someone would discover them and that they would not be forgotten. When do the calculations on when the Super Nova appeared on earth......it happened the during the time of Herod when Jesus was born. This planet's destruction was the very star that God used to guide the wise men. Now the Chaplin had a crisis of faith in that he could not believe God would do such a thing. But the Captain had a new belief because of it and it lead him to God. I love this story. I was so "NOT HOLLYWOOD".
Thanks for that Scott

Do you remember the title of that particular Twilight Zone? I would like to buy it or rent it.

Sorry...I don't. I know it is on the 1985 collection of the Twilight Zone and I think you can find it on E-bay.

Jericho....YES! Vicki and I have been watching this one since the first. I wasn't sure how they were going to string out the story but they have created a great story arc. Is it real or a government conspiracy? I don't know. But I am enjoying it.

As a child, I watch Bugs Bunny! I still watch it if it comes on. Also 3 Stooges and Twilight Zone.

As a teen, I pretty much lived out on the cliff by my parents house. Tv was a real drag to me, although I did get turned on to All in the Family and Sat. Night Live and Rock Concert.

When I was at Bama 77-81, we watched Star Trek and Mash. They came on back to back from 3:30-5:30 in the afternoon.

Now, couch potato that I am, I channel surf the movie channels and sometimes watch the History and Discovery channels. Meerkat Manor is one I have wanted to watch but have missed. Go check out their website.

I've missed commenting on blogs lately.
